The renovated historic spaces mix with new construction to create an inspired setting that's both familiar and distinct – just like the community surrounding it.

The Location

The Hive is located four blocks north of the 19th Street BART along Broadway’s historic auto row in the middle of the Uptown District. It’s easily accessible to the 980 and 580 freeways, and just a short walk to Lake Merritt.

Nearby there are specialty coffee houses and a host of cafes and restaurants. Art Murmur, a monthly open-gallery tour, and First Fridays, a street festival that emerged from Art Murmur, happen in the blocks around the Hive and the surrounding Uptown area. The Fox Theatre and Paramount Theater, both landmark treasures, are just down the street, and that’s just the beginning of what’s to come.
